Pallet railway extension with lifts, wrappers and more

750 metres of additional pallet track with lifts, wrappers and scales, fully integrated into an existing logistics line.

Extension of 750-metre transport system within an existing distribution centre

How do you expand a working system without disrupting your existing logistics processes? This customer urgently needed extra capacity, but downtime was not an option. MainTech realised a complete expansion of the pallet conveyor, fully integrated with the existing line.

The challenge

The distribution centre was running at full capacity, but was reaching its limit. The customer was looking for a solution for additional throughput with as few modifications to the existing system as possible. No room for long downtime or complete replacement.

Our solution

MainTech designed and installed a 750-metre extension Of the existing pallet track, including:

  • Vertical lifts for level differences
  • Wrapping machines for packaging optimisation
  • Labelling machines for automatic identification
  • Profile stations and scales for quality control

Everything was built modularly and linked to the current system.

The result

A substantially expanded processing system, realised with minimal impact on daily operations. Our modular approach allowed the existing system to continue running during the expansion.

The process

Step 1

Free exploratory talk

A good collaboration starts with a good conversation. In this first step, we plan an informal meeting in which we discuss your wishes, challenges and goals. We listen, ask questions and think along with you. No sales talk, but an open dialogue to see if we are a match.

Step 2

Inventory & intake

For every project, we start with a thorough inventory of the situation, objectives and preconditions. We actively listen to the customer's wishes, analyse the environment and identify risks and opportunities. This is how we lay a solid foundation for a solution that really works.

Step 3

Technical design & planning

Based on the intake, we develop a customised technical design. We take into account all logistical, technical and architectural aspects, so that the system fits seamlessly into existing processes. Our planning is tight and realistic, with minimal disruption to daily operations.

Step 4

Installation, realisation & optimisation

Our professionals ensure efficient on-site installation and delivery, whether in the Netherlands or on the other side of the world. We work in a structured way, safely and to the highest quality standards. Thanks to our experience, we can switch flexibly, even in complex situations.

Step 5

Completion & aftercare

After commissioning, we stay involved. We test thoroughly, supervise operators and provide clear documentation. We also remain the point of contact for future maintenance, optimisation or modifications. At MainTech, the project does not stop at delivery, we remain available.
